Senior Season is here!!

HAPPY HAPPY SPRING EVERYONE!!!!

To start off our 2018 Senior Season, I wanted to get us out of the winter blues and into Spring Fever!!

We love to make each session amazing and super fun! All of our sessions definitely have hair and makeup, which my models arrived early and we had cupcakes and sparkling cider waiting for them. While we got all pretty and primped, then we headed out! We were able to plan and prepare an adorably decorated beach cruiser! The Models had a fabulous time, riding around trying to smile without running into anything ;), it was so great!

Our Model Sessions are always doing something fun and different. Which is why I was able to get connected with an amazing fashion boutique, which actually is all the way out in TEXAS! How awesome is that?! Southern Sister Designs sent us a few pieces from their new line AVA PARK, for our models to wear and have some fashion fun in! Not only were the outfits adorable: but their accessories are seriously to die for and yes, I ended up getting myself a geo-necklace lol.

Over all our day was fabulous. The sun was perfectly shinning and our evening was great! Elyse and Kayla from Glacier Peak were just seriously so sweet and adorable, I could NOT have asked for better girls to work with, hang out with and yes eat pizza with.....modeling and photography is hard work and we needed a pizza break ;).

Super huge thank you to my dear sister friend, Desirae for letting us use her crazy adorable bike that everyone in the world WANTS and a super huge thank you to Southern Sister Designs for sending us some amazing pieces of their new AVA PARK Line! Thank you thank you!!!

So excited for our next Model Shoot!!!

Senior Pictures Already?!

I know what you're thinking. Whoa! Calm down Amanda Photographer Lady, my child is only a Junior and I cannot wrap my head around the fact that my baby is going to be graduating High School! In all honesty, my son who is going to be 6 this year is going into 2nd grade and that is something I keep wanting to avoid myself. Let's face it, our babies are growing up and its super bitter sweet!

YES! I know it's kind of that gasp feeling; but the fact is, you do need to start thinking of Senior Portraits now. It's not too early, you're actually right on time, you don't want to feel rushed and ultimately you want to insure that you and your new senior get the best summer dates available!

Your Baby Is A Senior
This September you daughter/son will become a Senior. It's crazy to even have that thought pattern; I know! But yes, your child will be going into their last year of High School THIS YEAR.

It's Not Too Early
We are currently booking right now for Senior Portraits. We actually started booking last year for the Class of 2018; but the high time to actually book your Senior Session is right now. You want to insure that you and your daughter/son get those very coveted summer dates, since our PNW Weather is soooooo reliable.

You Are On Time
I know it can feel like it is too early to talk about Senior Portraits for your Junior; but there is a reason to book your Senior Portraits during your Junior Year.

Most schools in the Snohomish and some of King County, allow your Senior to submit their own picture for the yearbook. Everyone definitely wants one of their pictures from their Senior Portrait Session; but the yearbook  due date is right when they start school. Yearbook is due anywhere from Sept-Dec of the beginning of their Senior Year. This is one of the reasons why Juniors rush to schedule and have their Senior Portrait Session the summer BEFORE they start school as a Senior.

Get The Best Summer Dates
There is truth in the saying "The early bird gets the worm." or in this situation the "Early booking gets the best Summer Date". It all boils down to one thing, when you book your Senior Session with the photographer of your choice (**clears throat, ME**) you get to snag the best Summer Dates available.

Most Boutqiue Portrait Photographers, like myself, have a first come first serve basis and typically shoot one client one day. I know that my availabilty as a photographer and portrait studio is very limited to those who book months even a year in advance. So, if you want those later Summer Dates, because you must be "tanned" or it's after you come back from Vacation, or just know that it isn't going to be gloom and doom with the PNW Weather, you definitely want to reserve and book your Senior Session now.

Becoming a Senior and experience the last year in high school is such a special time! You want to have a photographer that understands that, understands what your schools require and ultimately giving you the best to help you celebrate this special time in your life! So, moms and dads, it's time. Call me, I'll help you out! As your baby is going into their last year, mine is on his way to his second....I've got tissues and chocolate, we can cry and have some sweets together!

Lexi Cruise | Class Of 2017 | Tahoma High School

Meet Lexi!

I tell you, when I meet her and her adorable speed talking mom, Julie, I just knew we were going to hit it off! It was like we all we're BFF's way before we even met lol.

Well, Lexi is absolutely amazing. So sweet and kind and of course a SWIMMER! I had ben dying to do an amazing mermaid inspired styled shoot and hellooo Lexi! She was absolutely perfect because she's a fish anyway! We had scheduled two different Vogue Sessions for Lex, because we knew we wanted to have all the time needed!

Session 1 was so fun! We hit local areas, channeled our inner city vibe and ended our day trying to catch up with the very fast setting sun. We then cut for Session 2! For this shoot we started our day at her local swim club for some cute swim shots, then off to the beach! We tracked all over that sandy place and when the rain clouds began to come in, we said a little prayer as we got this mermaid's tail and scales back on! For just the amount of time we needed, the heavens opened and the perfect sunset shown.

The days where absolutely perfect and we all had so much fun!  Thank you Lexi and Julie for an A-MAE-Zeen time! Chanel Tucker of Chantel Tucker MUA you are absolutely amazing and took care of Lexi the AMP Way and super shout out to you! Love you!

Thank you ladies, Congrats pretty pretty Lexi!!!

I May Be A Big Girl But...

Loud, laughs, fun, crazy stories, food and great memories. These are the things I think about when I think about my family. We are Hispanic, we are loud and we all love my Nanie's cooking lol.

When we moved to Washington almost 4 years ago, I never realized at how much I would miss them. Especially now that everyone has come together and I can't be there. Every year our family from all over tries to get together in Cali around this time of the year. Seeing all the posts of the loud, laughing times and the food my Nanie (Nah-nee) cooks, kind of makes me sad lol. I really miss my mom and our laughs and jokes and how we go and get a latte, sit in the mall and just people watch. Making up stories about people as they walk by and just spending time together. Of course my Nanie, she is basically my twin. We are both round, short, bubbly and have huuuuge loud laughs.

Even though we moved up here to the PNW. I do not regret it one bit. My son and husband are amazing and we are completely happy and we know that God has a complete and total destiny for our lives up here. I just miss my mom, Nanie and family every now and then.

I began to think about how I could incorporate that into my business? How can I give my clients that same deep bond relationship that I have with my family? What can I do to give my clients something  that creates memories and gives them amazing moments in time? I thought Duh AMANDA! Family Portraits! lol.

The entire inspiration sparked from my relationship with my Mom and Nanie. They are amazing women and have poured such greatness into my life from my spirit, to even wisdom in being an awesome wife and mother, sister and friend. To be able to capture this for my clients is my goal and ultimately giving my clients that moment to celebrate their own family's unique bond and relationship. Because let's face it….NOT every family is the same lol.

Seasons in our lives, seasons in family, isn't that the way it goes. You may have your daughters right now, or you may have your sisters and your mom right now; but ultimately, you will grow, she will grow and growing together. You'll eventually get married, have babies and begin to have your own family. Capturing this moment right now of who you all are in this season of your family is such a wonderful moment. Let me help you remember that, I wish I would've been able to capture more memories, more moments with the women in my family. We are all over the states and some are even missionaries in Europe; but at the end of the day we are friends, sisters, mothers, we are family.

So you can see how important it is to capture who you are, who you and your girls are right now in this season of your family. Let me help you with that and I promise not to be "too" loud. ;) Thanks so much for letting me share my heart with you!

xoxo, A
