Meet Victoria!
Let me just say this girl right here..HEART!!!

Normally I meet with my clients a month or so prior to their initial session and before we begin any shooting. It helps get any of the jitters out and to get introductions taken care of; but for this month's Editorial Photo Shoot I had to say our hellos and throw Victoria right into the deep end lol. And let me tell you...THIS GIRL CAN SWIM!! She was amazing and just so warm and welcoming, I just totally adore her!

Victoria was like a chameleon, giving me every shade of fabulousness!! And who else can wear a white fur jacket like that?! I mean, seriously!!!

Thank you Victoria girl and our next shoot is going to be A-MAE-ZEEN!!

HOLY GUACAMOLEY! This girl right here!!!

Ok, so let me back up just a tad bit. These are my Editorial Photoshoots. What is an Editorial Photoshoot?! Well, Im so glad you asked!! It's where me and my clients come together for something  creative, unique, real and just freakin' beautiful.

These Editorial Photoshoots are only available to my current 2019 Senior Clients. My entire goal for these Editorial Photoshoots is to celebrate the true essence of our femininity, of our beauty and who we are as women without all the major extras (**clears throat** makeup, lashes etc....)

In my life, I used to wear a mask physically lol (makeup) and figuratively, well, makeup still when I go out of course *wink wink*. I felt I needed to be perfect, be something everyone wanted, everyone thought of as "successful" or "perfect"; but the truth is, Im not. Im not perfect, Im not exact; but I am me, I am Amanda, with all my faults and in all my short comings, I am still beautiful; I am still feminine, I am still a woman.

I want to celebrate imperfection not try to attain perfection.

I want my girls to see that it's ok to love the skin you're in, it's ok to love your birth mark, or any of the faults you deem as a fault. It is what makes us creatively unique, real and just freakin' beautiful!

So let's celebrate this together; because baby you never looked so good!

This is Campbell! She is one of my first 2019 clients and a 2019 AMP Model!

I just heart her so much! She is so adorably little, shout out to my short girls YEA-YA!
I love how she just has a confidence when she walks into the room. She is kind, caring and sweet and
is such a joy to be with and spend a day at a coffee house taking pictures! She's daring and bold and ready to try anything like stand on a couch! I like that about her lol!!

Thanks Campbell and Im excited for more shoots to come!!! Great job beautiful girl!!

Lexi Cruise | Class Of 2017 | Tahoma High School

Meet Lexi!

I tell you, when I meet her and her adorable speed talking mom, Julie, I just knew we were going to hit it off! It was like we all we're BFF's way before we even met lol.

Well, Lexi is absolutely amazing. So sweet and kind and of course a SWIMMER! I had ben dying to do an amazing mermaid inspired styled shoot and hellooo Lexi! She was absolutely perfect because she's a fish anyway! We had scheduled two different Vogue Sessions for Lex, because we knew we wanted to have all the time needed!

Session 1 was so fun! We hit local areas, channeled our inner city vibe and ended our day trying to catch up with the very fast setting sun. We then cut for Session 2! For this shoot we started our day at her local swim club for some cute swim shots, then off to the beach! We tracked all over that sandy place and when the rain clouds began to come in, we said a little prayer as we got this mermaid's tail and scales back on! For just the amount of time we needed, the heavens opened and the perfect sunset shown.

The days where absolutely perfect and we all had so much fun!  Thank you Lexi and Julie for an A-MAE-Zeen time! Chanel Tucker of Chantel Tucker MUA you are absolutely amazing and took care of Lexi the AMP Way and super shout out to you! Love you!

Thank you ladies, Congrats pretty pretty Lexi!!!

I May Be A Big Girl But...

Loud, laughs, fun, crazy stories, food and great memories. These are the things I think about when I think about my family. We are Hispanic, we are loud and we all love my Nanie's cooking lol.

When we moved to Washington almost 4 years ago, I never realized at how much I would miss them. Especially now that everyone has come together and I can't be there. Every year our family from all over tries to get together in Cali around this time of the year. Seeing all the posts of the loud, laughing times and the food my Nanie (Nah-nee) cooks, kind of makes me sad lol. I really miss my mom and our laughs and jokes and how we go and get a latte, sit in the mall and just people watch. Making up stories about people as they walk by and just spending time together. Of course my Nanie, she is basically my twin. We are both round, short, bubbly and have huuuuge loud laughs.

Even though we moved up here to the PNW. I do not regret it one bit. My son and husband are amazing and we are completely happy and we know that God has a complete and total destiny for our lives up here. I just miss my mom, Nanie and family every now and then.

I began to think about how I could incorporate that into my business? How can I give my clients that same deep bond relationship that I have with my family? What can I do to give my clients something  that creates memories and gives them amazing moments in time? I thought Duh AMANDA! Family Portraits! lol.

The entire inspiration sparked from my relationship with my Mom and Nanie. They are amazing women and have poured such greatness into my life from my spirit, to even wisdom in being an awesome wife and mother, sister and friend. To be able to capture this for my clients is my goal and ultimately giving my clients that moment to celebrate their own family's unique bond and relationship. Because let's face it….NOT every family is the same lol.

Seasons in our lives, seasons in family, isn't that the way it goes. You may have your daughters right now, or you may have your sisters and your mom right now; but ultimately, you will grow, she will grow and growing together. You'll eventually get married, have babies and begin to have your own family. Capturing this moment right now of who you all are in this season of your family is such a wonderful moment. Let me help you remember that, I wish I would've been able to capture more memories, more moments with the women in my family. We are all over the states and some are even missionaries in Europe; but at the end of the day we are friends, sisters, mothers, we are family.

So you can see how important it is to capture who you are, who you and your girls are right now in this season of your family. Let me help you with that and I promise not to be "too" loud. ;) Thanks so much for letting me share my heart with you!

xoxo, A

I didn't think this far...

Every time I set off to start a new adventure, goal or even like starting a business, I somehow can't seem to look past that particular goal.

As a young single woman, I had dreams and desires to be married to a Man of God, who strived after Him with all of his heart while leading our family under the covering and anointing of the call of God on our lives. I thought about my wedding day, I thought about spending the rest of my life with that "future" man. I thought about the children we wanted to have, about what kind of mommy I would be and how I plan to have "Craft Days" every week to spark creativity and inspiration. (HA! Crafts, riiiiight.)

I have now passed my 30's and this year I will be 32 years old. YIKES! I never did think about passing my 30's or even think about past my 30's. I knew I would grow more "mature" and age with, hopefully, God's grace and spend the remaining of my life married, being a mommy and being a woman of God. But somehow I never looked beyond the Wedding, beyond the having babies and now faced with the "middle" of my life, it seems to be coming out in my business too. But this is all GOOD Things, not one of those Oh I'm so old now, I'm not cool. HECK NO! Im still pretty freakin' rad, hot and one spicey round cookie lol.
What I'm getting at is, I've had my business for almost 4 wonderful years. I've had goals to create something from the ground up, to start a business, to be successful at it, to have a studio, to being at a whole different place than where I was, to ultimately just taking pretty pictures of really pretty girls whose hearts are so big.

As a business owner, I look at my past clients and some have left for college, traveled, started businesses, went on adventures, got married, and are even having families! As a photographer, I look at that and just think, Wow, God you are so good that I got a chance to capture these amazing young ladies in that perfect moment of their lives. Not exactly a woman, not exactly a teenager; but that exact moment of transition.
When I started my business, I simply had a handful of goals in mind. Take pretty pictures, be successful and do what I love to do, possibly get a studio too lol. I look back and I have accomplished those things; yes of course there are still goals in my life I would love to reach; but seeing that I was able to accomplish my first steps I set out was awesome. But I never thought beyond that as a my clients' friend.

I didn't think about how amazing it feels to see my clients succeed at life, the goals they place before them and to be a part of that first stage in there lives, leaves me with this feeling of awestruck.
He loves us so much that He gives us surprises everyday that we don't even know we need or had a desire for. Now seeing this and now living this, I am so thankful for my past clients, present and future. Being able to be a light to them in their life adventures has been one of the coolest feelings ever.

So heres to you clients! Past, Present and Future. You may think I take portraits and make ladies feel pretty and have a ton of bubbly fun; but ultimately YOU make me feel amazing, satisfied and ultimately confirm my passion and drive.

so THANK YOU! Now get out there and rock this world with the amazingness that HE gives!!
